The more turbulent times around us, the more happiness we find in simple and everyday things – an evening walk, needlework or working in the garden. The latter became the true passion and consolation of Inna Grytsyk, the founder of the INLYLAND brand. She dedicated the new collection to the queen of her garden – the white rose.
“Three years ago, I became interested in gardening – during the quarantine, we moved from Kyiv outside the city, and I planted my first bush of white roses, – recalls the designer. – During this time, admiration turned into a passion. It became so strong. I arranged a full-fledged garden and rested my soul, working on the land and tending to the plants.”
The white rose, the main decorative element of the collection, gave INLYLAND’s signature brevity an unprecedented romanticism but in a delicate and refined execution. And Inna Grytsyk calls a crocheted pocket square with a floral pattern the starting point of her work. “It all started with her. Thanks to the use of very fine thread, the weaving has the appearance of lace and adds lightness and weightlessness to the collection, which includes pantsuits, silhouette dresses and minimalist tops.” Rosebuds became the decoration of another essential item in the collection – midi-length A-silhouette skirts. In addition to roses, it is decorated with handmade and crystal beads. INLYLAND artisans need 45 hours of handwork to create a skirt.
The work on the texture of suits, dresses and skirts in the form of folds, which were also created by hand using the pressing process, turned out to be no less painstaking. A specific symbolism of the scars of our spiritual wounds you can see in it. The background for the collection and the idea during the filming of the advertising campaign were flowers hidden behind a dense canvas, reminding all of us: how fragile beauty can be and how important it is to protect it. “Unexpectedly for me, during this shooting, I worked not only as a stylist but also as a florist,” says Inna Grytsyk. My flower garden to continue to delight with its beauty.”
In addition, from this season, the brand is starting a new milestone in its development – the brand will now be called INLYLAND, and its range will expand. The main principle will remain unchanged – true beauty does not need loud words and bright gestures but speaks for itself, like the same white rose.
